May 1st - Glorious blossoms of a myriad of colors from Dogwood trees and azaleas. This was a special day to add to that - music! The Chapel Hill Philharmonia performing our only concert at the end of this season. It was a thrill to play the program featuring the Overture of Mozart's "Magic Flute", such fun, Bizet's "Carmen" also fun to play, ending with Beethoven's 7th symphony. May 3 - Kate, now 18, has been made Soccer Player of the Year at Trinity! I was able to attend her last match of the season, and she made 4 goals that day! Two days later, I went to James' track meet at another school. He did very well there too, and at the end of the season was awarded for Track and Field at the All-Conference. May 6-7 - The universities of UNC and Duke did not forget us for their graduations after 2 years of no presentations in their locales.
